  • Sexual Offenses Prosecution Rejected Accusations of Forcible Rape and Oral Copulation of a Minor

In 2025, after meeting online and engaging in a sexual encounter, W.L.B. was stunned when he was later accused of rape. He was arrested and was facing prison and sex registration, having already admitted to sexual acts. His family retained the services of GGK, who immediately began an investigation into the social media posts and text messages of the accuser. They presented the evidence to the prosecutor’s office, and shortly thereafter the case was dropped. W.L.B. will have his arrest and police reports sealed by court order to protect his reputation and put this accusation behind him. Early intervention by the defense team at Greenberg, Greenberg & Kenyon saved a costly and publicly embarrassing criminal case.

  • Sexual Offenses DA rejects prosecution Accusations of Sexual Assault by a Public Official

This case involved high stakes and a high profile, as the client was an active-duty law enforcement officer. He was already fired and under investigation when he sought out GGKs help. A civil suit was already pending and now H.V. faced potential prison and lifetime sex registration. Because of the profile of the case, it was being overseen by the “Public Integrity Unit” and the Riverside District Attorney’s Executive Management was involved. Former prosecutor and GGK Partner Charles Kenyon reached out directly to the decision makers to present the case for his accused client. A Chief Deputy District Attorney himself was the contact point for GGK who personally sent word that his client’s case was rejected for prosecution.

  • DUI Defense Military Diversion Granted Four Felony Counts for DUI with Injury and Child Endangerment

After drinking at a wedding Michael C hit a parked car, rolling the vehicle, injuring his two minor children. GGK acted quickly to get the client rehabilitative services while obtaining his military records. Despite the seriousness of the accident, the court accepted him into the new Military Diversion program. His case will be fully dismissed without probation or any convictions on his record after one year.

  • Domestic Violence Mental health diversion, eligible for dismissal Felony Domestic Violence Causing Great Bodily Injury

Client receives mental health diversion, eligible for dismissal and sealing.

Despite hospitalizing the victim after beating her unconscious, the GGK team collaborated to bring a broader perspective to the court’s attention. They successfully obtained mental health records and authored a mental health diversion motion over the prosecutor’s objection. The client received no custody time and avoided a conviction by entering Riverside’s Mental Health Diversion program.

  • Sexual Offenses Hung Jury, Probation Granted Hung Jury, Probation Granted

Client charged with multiple counts of forcible rape and oral copulation of a minor, facing consecutive life counts and over 100 years in prison.

Before hiring GGK, the client had made numerous, damning admissions which have cost him his liberty. During a grueling three-week trial, the DA presented evidence over some three weeks to try to destroy Richard M. Phil Greenberg’s trial experience as a former Sexual Assault Prosecutor proved an asset again. He attacked the veracity and accuracy of the witness and easily dismantled the DA’s expert witness. Despite partial admissions from his client that were put before the jury, they were deadlocked 7-5 favoring acquittal.

After the judge declared a mistrial, the prosecutor recognized despite a mountain of evidence on paper, she would not ever secure a guilty verdict with GGK defending the accused. She cut her losses and conceded probation without any custody time.

  • Theft Crimes Probation Granted Probation Granted

Client Charged with 16 felony counts (15 strikes) including Armed Robbery; Assault with a Firearms; Personal Use of a Firearm; and Criminal Threats

Client fought the case for over 10 years because of frustration and mistrust with his appointed Public Defender. The best offer on the table was 7-8 years of prison when he hired GGK. Our firm did what it does best, Phil Greenberg stepped in and drastically changed the tone. Within months of substituting in, Phil secured a deal with Probation and less than 9 months of local jail time. Prison was avoided despite multiple strikes and enhancements that prohibit a grant of probation.
